Deadpool is qualified for many things, but is one of those President of the United States?
Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld appeared on his son Chase Liefeld’s show to answer questions from fans, and one of those brought up the recent presidential election, specifically who Deadpool would be more likely to vote for.

“This is a no-brainer,” Liefeld said. “Deadpool would write his name in on the ballot and vote for himself. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see him literally run in the next election.”
When Ryan’s name was brought up as a possible candidate, Liefeld didn’t limit the candidates to just him. “I’m not even just saying Ryan,” Liefeld said. “I’m saying I have met people who have dressed up like Deadpool who told me they’re running as Deadpool.”
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense actually. Deadpool pretty much thinks he can do anything, so why not try his luck at running the United States? Granted, people would actually have to vote for him, but at least he knows Weasel, Vanessa, and Dopinder have his back.
Liefeld was also asked if Deadpool is a hero or a villain, and the answer, of course, is somewhere in between. That stems from the character’s origins, which Liefeld revealed had a great deal to do with his love of Star Wars.
“Deadpool was born of my obsession with Star Wars and Boba Fett and mercenaries in general,” Liefeld said. “In the first issue and his entire dynamic when he’s introduced with Cable and the guy who hires Deadpool to take on Cable, is a guy named Mr. Tolliver, and I’ve told people very honestly, one of my influences on my sleeve, Tolliver was Jabba The Hutt, Cable was Han Solo, and Deadpool was my Boba Fett.”

As for Deadpool, the road to the sequel has already kicked off in style, complete with a Bob Ross inspired teaser trailer to get fans excited for the film. Hopefully, the next trailer will have more actual scenes from the movie, but the teaser was worth it for the sheer amount of Bob Ross Deadpool mashups that have hit the internet since.
Fans can catch Deadpool 2 in theaters on June 1, 2018.
