The new show is an adaptation of the 2000s Marvel series, which pits six superpowered teenagers against their parents, who run a crime syndicate out of Los Angeles. The comic series had a loyal following during its nearly six year run, which featured the work of acclaimed creators like Brian K. Vaughan, Adrian Alphona, Joss Whedon, and Terry Moore.

Marvel recently announced that acclaimed young adult novelist Rainbow Rowell and artist Kris Anka will revive the Runaways comic series this fall.

Hulu’s adaptation will star Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein, and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez.

Runaways’ first season will have ten episodes, with a new episode coming out each week.

You can read up on the show’s synopsis below:

“Runaways follows a group of six teenagers in the Marvel universe – Nico Minoru, Karolina Dean, Molly Hayes, Chase Stein, Alex Wilder, and Gertrude Yorkes – who discover that their parents are secretly members of a supervillain cabal called The Pride. After deciding they’re no longer safe in their own homes, the kids go on the run. In the midst of hiding from their elders, the teens learn about themselves and become a family of their own.”
