Comic-Con is, by now, so big that it is nearly impossible to keep trying of all the big developments, announcements, and fun things happening around the convention all day. Comicbook.com staff are keeping strict overwatch on what’s going on at SDCC17 – and we have plenty of staff on location (come say ‘hi’ if you spot us!) – so we’ll have insight on everything you need to know!

Here is All the Big News from Day 1 of San Diego Comic-Con 2017:
20th Century Fox
20th Century Fox came to Comic-Con 2017 with a big lineup of possible film reveals, kicking things off with a new look at Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
We got a lot of footage of Kingsman 2 during the panel – plus a new red-band trailer that shows off how much crazier the sequel is than the original. We also got a geek-friendly animated short featuring the Kingsman meeting Archer.

Sadly, none of the possible X-Men Universe movies (Deadpool 2, New Mutants, X-Men: Dark Phoenix) were included in the panel.

Pacific Rim 2
While at SDCC, Legendary Pictures put out the first Teaser Trailer for the Pacific Rim sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising, starring Star Wars: The Force Awakens / The Last Jedi actor John Boyega.

Marvel Expansion
Marvel is paving the way to its big Saturday night panel in Hall H the usual way: with bribery.
Marvel Studios kicked off Comic-Con Day 1 by handing out some exclusive new posters for Avengers: Infinity War, which you can check out by clicking below:
Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed also teased a big reveal:
We also learned the premiere date of Hulu’s Marvel TV series, Runaways:
On the Netflix side, we got a new trailer for The Defenders crossover in August:
And for broadcast TV, we got a new look at Marvel Inhumans icon, Lockjaw:

DC Films won’t put on its big Hall H show until Saturday morning, but on Day 1 of SDCC, we did get some big DC Extended Universe News – and one major piece of disappointing news, as well.
