Marvel will be putting out Spider-Man: Homecoming in collaboration with Sony, taking full advantage of the character’s expansive rogues gallery with a group of villains that includes Michael Keaton as the Vulture, Bokeem Woodbine as the Shocker, and Michael Chernus as the Tinkerer.

Though we’ve already gotten glimpses of the Vulture and the Shocker in the first two trailers, we’ve yet to see Chernus’ take on the Tinkerer. But the character will be appearing in the latest issue of Empire Magazine with the wall crawler himself gracing the cover, according to some sneaky sleuths on Reddit.

The cover story will feature some new images and details, including the reveal of the Tinkerer’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’ll be working with Keaton’s character Sebastian Toomes, who salvages alien tech from the various superhero mishaps and repurposes it for the black market. Check out the picture below:

Toomes and his crew have a thorn to pick with Tony Stark, whose new government initiative Damage Control will focus on cleaning up the aftermath of superhero battles in the MCU. That puts the blue-collar Toomes and his employees out of work, turning them down a path toward villainy where he eventually comes up against Spider-Man.

We’ve heard that Toomes will come across various different tech in the MCU, such as Chitauri weaponry and even Crossbones’ hydraulic gauntlets from Captain America: Civil War.

It’s pretty cool that Spider-Man: Homecoming will be dealing with a lot of the effects of superhero conflicts in the world, and it’s awesome that the Tinkerer is going to be there to help the Vulture’s gang of crooks set up their tech.
