As mentioned, Amazing Spider-Man #25 sees Spider-Man coming into conflict with Norman Osborn yet again. Using information acquired from the Kingpin, Spider-Man convinces SHIELD to help him track down an arms dealer in the South American Republic of Delvadia. Spider-Man believes this arms dealer is secretly a cover for Norman Osborn.

Spider-Man isn’t the only one who has come to Delvadia recently. A cloaked figure is also prowling about the same city and she takes note of Spider-Man’s arrival.

Spider-Man – with the help of Mockingbird, Tarantula, and Devil Spider โ€“ finds the arms dealer and takes him into custody. Various tests reveal that he is definitely not Norman Osborn, but he was dealing Goblin tech.

Spider-Man and Mockingbird head Hong Kong, but have to leave the rest of SHIELD behind as they’re not authorized to enter the region. Aunt May and Harry Osborn stowaway on the trip to attend a Parker Foundation event.

Following a lead from the raid in Delvadia, Spider-Man and Mockingbird sneak off to try to track down Osborn in Hong Kong. They discover that Norman Osborn is also planning to attend the Parker Foundation event.

They hurry back, but what they don’t know is that Norman Osborn has been surgical swapping between an entire gallery of different faces in order to cover his tracks and operate a vast arms empire across different regions. Norman attends the event and even sees Aunt May and Harry, but they don’t recognize him.

As Spider-Man and Mockingbird arrive back at the Parker Foundation event, they notice a cloaked sniper on the building across from the event. They swing into action just as she has Harry Osborn in her sites. When the cloaking device malfunctions, the figures is revealed to beโ€ฆ

Silver Sable

Silver Sable, Spider-Man’s mercenary ally who seemingly perished at the hands of the Rhino in during the “Ends of the Earth” storyline. However, there have been hints that Silver Sable may have survived. Her body was never recovered from Doctor Octopus’s underwater base, and Madame Web told Spider-Man that Silver Sable had not perished. Nonetheless, Peter Parker still saw Silver Sable during a post-death experience alongside other loved ones who have died, but this can perhaps be explained as Peter projecting those who he believed to be dead.

Either way, Silver Sable is definitely back now, and she’s apparently gunning for Norman Osborn just as much as Spider-Man is. This may also complicate Peter Parker’s love life. Just before her death, Silver Sable had been openly flirting with Spider-Man, even giving him a kiss as a “reward” for his help, though Spidey couldn’t’ return the affection because of his relationship with Mary Jane. MJ is now out of the picture, but Spider-Man and Mockingbird, who each know each other’s secret identity, were just beginning a conversation about their own relationship potential. Whether either romantic coupling comes to anything remains to be seen.
