Jessica Jones Shuts Down Iron Fist on Twitter

It’s common knowledge that the Defenders don’t get along when they first meet each other, but the bad blood is running much deeper than the TV screen.

For a while now, the Twitter accounts for Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil have used the platform to talk trash periodically. Whenever one account makes a statement, another will put them down, and so on.

Leading up to the release of The Defenders on Netflix, the accounts were even more active. In one of the most recent interactions, it was Jessica Jones who came away victorious after absolutely owning Iron Fist.

Daredevil and Luke Cage were in an exchange about Luke’s relationship with Claire, when Iron Fist jumped in to say “I wish you both love, strength and harmony.”

Without skipping a beat, Jessica used her quick wit and smart mouth to put Iron Fist in his place.

Jessica replied to the message with a simple sentence, “Shut up, Danny.”

There are plenty of people out there who share Jessica’s lack of patience for Danny Rand, so the tweet was met with more engagement than all of the previous messages.

Hopefully, now that their series is finally available to stream, the Defenders can start getting along. Let’s just not hold our breath.
