The film makes its North American premiere on Shudder tomorrow. You can check out the clip above.
In the clip, two young women doze their way through a class on modern Japanese folklore, most notably their professor’s fixation on the VHS tape at the center of the Ringu/The Ring movies. Surely, though, none of this information will come in helpful to them later!
Here’s the official synopsis for the film:
At long last, Sadako vs. Kayako brings Ring’s and The Grudge’s two forces of evil into the ring for the ultimate grudge match. After viewing a legendary cursed videotape, Natsumi discovers she has only two days before she will be killed by the demonic entity known as Sadako. The only way to break the curse: pitting the demon Sadako against Kayako, an accursed spirit possessing a haunted house where everyone who enters disappears.
Sadako vs. Kayako debuts on Shudder tomorrow.
