According to Deadline, 6-time Emmy nominated and 2-time Golden Globe nominated actress Sarah Paulson is in talks to join the cast of Ocean's 8, the female-driven spin-off of Ocean's 11. If she signs on, she'll join a cast that already consists of Sandra Bullock (The Heat), Cate Blanchett (Thor: Ragnarok), Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises), Rihanna (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets), Helena Bonham Carter (Fight Club), Mindy Kaling (The Office) and Awkwafina (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising).

Ocean's 8 will be directed by Gary Ross (The Hunger Games, Seabiscuit), based on a screenplay by Little Women scribe Olivia Milch. Ocean's Eleven director Steven Soderbergh is producing. Susan Ekins is executive producer and Warner Bros production SVP Jesse Ehrman is overseeing the film with Warner Bros President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman. Village Roadshow Pictures is co-producing and co-financing the movie.

Paulson, 41, has always been considered a very talented actress; however, in these past five years, mainstream audiences have finally taken notice of her brilliant, multi-layered performances. Also, in that same time frame, she has earned 6 Emmy nominations for her work in Game Change, American Horror Story and People Vs OJ Simpson. While she hasn't won an Emmy yet, two of those nominations are pending.

Ocean's 8 will begin filming in October.
