Earlier this week, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce granted a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to Snoopy, Charlie Brown's loyal beagle from the Peanuts comics and films, ahead of the release of the new Peanuts movie in theaters later this week.
Now, thanks to industry trade Variety, you can see the ceremony in its entirety below.
Snoopy will be "voiced" by Bill Melendez, who often played Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Woodstock in animated specials. The filmmakers said that there was just no other way to go, than to dig into the vault and use pre-recorded Melendez sounds for the dog.
"As we listened to (the archived recordings) and I started to cut those into our story reels, we couldn't create anything other than that," director Steve Martino told Variety. "Bill is so funny and Snoopy is so hilarious in his voice, so he is Snoopy and Woodstock."
