Tramell Tillman’s upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is very exciting, but we don’t yet know who the Severance star will be playing. Scheduled to premiere on July 31, 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will bring together Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo as Spider-Man, the Punisher, and the Hulk, but they won’t be alone in the upcoming sequel. While Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Michael Mando will be returning from previous MCU movies, newcomers Liza Colรณn-Zayas, Sadie Sink, and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

Tramell Tillman is joining the MCU after reaching stardom as the sinister and enigmatic Seth Milchick in Severance and making an appearance as Captain Bledsoe in Mission: Impossible โ The Final Reckoning. Tillman’s casting in Spider-Man: Brand New Day was announced at the end of August, but it’s still unclear who he’ll be playing in the Phase 6 movie. There are several Spider-Man-related characters from Marvel Comics that he’d be perfect for in the MCU, however, so it would be incredible to see Tillman bring any of these characters to life.
3) Miles Warren’s Jackal

Introduced back in 1965’s The Amazing Spider-Man #31, Miles Warren has become one of Spider-Man’s most prominent and powerful antagonists over the years. With speculation suggesting that Gwen Stacy will be debuting in the MCU’s new Spider-Man trilogy, now is the perfect time for Warren to debut, and Tillman has already proven his talents at portraying a mysterious and twisted character, so he’d be great as the MCU’s Jackal. Warren has an unhealthy obsession with Gwen Stacy in Marvel Comics, setting up his feud with the MCU’s Peter Parker perfectly.
Primarily involved in mind-bending cloning storylines in Marvel Comics, the Jackal would be a fun and shocking addition to the MCU. His appearance could lead to the introductions of Ben Reilly, Kaine Parker, and more, while Tillman’s portrayal could rely more heavily on Miles Warren’s background as a scientist researching genetics and biochemistry. As one of Spider-Man’s most legendary villains, it would be brilliant to see the Jackal brought to life in the MCU, especially since he also bridges the gap between the grounded, street-level Spider-Man stories and those taking place across the multiverse.
2) Robbie Robertson

Although unconfirmed, it’s very possible that Peter Parker will be working at the Daily Bugle in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, making some money as a photographer after being forgotten by the entire world. This opens the door for a slew of new characters associated with the publication to debut in the MCU, which includes Joseph “Robbie” Robertson. First seen in 1967’s The Amazing Spider-Man #51, Robertson was a high-ranking editor at the Daily Bugle and a close friend to J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons), so this would be a great dynamic to explore in the MCU.
As one of the first Black characters to play a serious supporting role in Marvel Comics, rather than being played just for comic relief, it would likely be seen as an honor for Tramell Tillman to portray Robbie Robertson in the MCU. Robertson is a friend to Peter Parker, and a defender of Spider-Man, with connections to the supervillain Tombstone, so this character would give Tramell Tillman new personality traits to explore โ different from his previous characters. We’re excited for Spider-Man’s world to expand, and introducing Tramell Tillman as Robbie Robertson would be a great way to pull this off.
1) Jefferson Davis

Perhaps the most exciting character that Tramell Tillman could play in Spider-Man: Brand New Day would be Jefferson Davis, the father of Miles Morales. We’ve already seen Morales’ uncle, Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis, appear in the MCU โ he debuted in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and made a live-action appearance in 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse โ so his brother could now make his MCU debut. Tillman would be great at delivering the comforting and soothing nature of Jefferson Davis, which are elements we’ve seen in his previous characters, but could be pushed further in the MCU.
There’s currently been no announcement of Miles Morales joining the MCU as a successor to Peter Parker’s Spider-Man. However, since Tom Holland has recently expressed his uncertainty about how long he’ll actually be playing Parker for, now might be the perfect time to bring Miles Morales into live-action. Debuting his father, Jefferson Davis, mother, Rio Morales, and other family members would be a great way to gradually establish him as a firm part of the MCU, and Tramell Tillman would be an inspired choice to portray police captain Jefferson Davis.
