Transformers: Age of Extinction will likely not only become the first $100 million opening weekend of the year at the U.S. box office but will add at least that much from the international market as well.

Deadline reports that the film's three-day cume to $80M headed into Saturday. Paramount Pictures says the Friday result is 42% higher than Transformers: Dark Of The Moon which opened to $161M in similar markets in 2011.

Estimates are that China took in about $30 million yesterday, about 25% less than what the U.S. generated. Much of the film was shot in China, Chinese actors were integrated into the cast and it was aggressively promoted there.
