The series, which is set to run on the premium cable network in 2017, has already attracted a number of big-name stars, including Naomi Watts, Laura Dern, Balthazar Getty, Tim Sizemore, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Those and other new additions like iZombie‘s Robert Knepper will join Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, David Lynch himself, and a number of other returning Twin Peaks stars from the ’90s. Even Frost’s 90-year-old father Warren, who played Dr. Hayward in the original series, will reportedly return for a cameo (although there’s been no sign Lara Flynn Boyle, who played Donna in the TV series, or her Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me replacement Moira Kelly).
Of course, other than MacLachlan, Showtime and Lynch have refused to confirm or comment on any casting news.
Twin Peaks is expected to take you back to the Black Lodge in early 2017.
