Avengers' Scarlet Johansson Has A Baby Girl

When it was first revealed that Scarlet Johansson was pregnant, there was lots of speculation over how it might affect her role as Black Widow in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But any concern proved to be unwarranted, as director Joss Whedon was able to shuffle the filming schedule to get Scarlett's scenes filmed with time to spare.

Earlier today, Scarlett Johansson and her fiancé Romain Dauriace welcomed their first child into the world. In a statement to the Associated Press, Johannson's spokesperson announced that she had a baby girl, whom they've named Rose.

Both mother and daughter are reportedly doing well. The couple also asked for privacy from photographers for their new baby.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled to open in movie theaters on May 1, 2015.
