Disney has announced the home-video release date for their 2014 Disney Animation production, Big Hero 6.
Big Hero 6 will be available for home viewing starting February 3rd on Digital HD and the Disney Movies Anywhere app, and will then become available on Blu-Ray and DVD on February 24th. In addition to the release date, Disney also announced the special features accompanying the film’s Blu-Ray, DVD, and Disney Movie Anywhere release. The home releases will contain deleted scenes, a Making-Of feature, and a behind-the scenes feature with the film’s cast. An an Easter Eggs feature will be exclusively available to Blu- Ray owners.
Big Hero 6 tells the story of Hiro Hamada, a lonely-but-brilliant boy who befriends a personal-care robot called Baymax. When evil threatens Hiro's home of San Fransokyo, Hiro must transform himself, Baymax, and his eclectic group of friends into the heroes they're destined to become. The Disney Animation film, based off of the Marvel Comics series “Big Hero 6” pulled in $211.2 million in ticket sales in 2014, and was the box office winner upon its opening weekend in November.
