An extended preview of the upcoming Marvel Studios sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier will screen ahead of select showings of Thor: The Dark World, due in theaters next week in the U.S.
Audiences will get an extended, roughly five-minute look at Captain America 2 in 3D when they grab a ticket to Alan Taylor’s Thor sequel. This special engagement, according to the studio, will be available exclusively at 3D screenings of Thor throughout its theatrical run.
The official word came down from Fandango, who are pre-selling Thor tickets. Whether this will be the same preview footage shown at D23 or something different isn't yet known.
“After Marvel’s The Avengers, the Marvel films are more interwoven than ever, and this pairing is the perfect complement to both of the new movies,” said Dave Hollis, executive vice president, theatrical distribution, at Walt Disney Studios. “Thor: The Dark World is going to be an exceptional theatergoing experience, and this sneak peek will really rev fans up for the return of not only the Mighty Avenger but the First Avenger as well.”
And with both a post-credits and a mid-credits sequence, fans who stick around after the movie will get a glimpse of another corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well.
