WWE is reporting that Brian Knighton has died. Knighton, known as Axl Rotten, competed in the original ECW from 1993-1999. Knighton also briefly worked in WCW as well as WWE in 2005 during the ECW invasion storyline, which culminated in the One Night Stand pay per view. Knighton also competed in TNA Wrestling and various independent promotions across the country, especially around in Maryland, where he resided.
WWE sent their condolences to Knighton's family, friends and fans.
