DC Comics announced yesterday at Emerald City Comic Con that writer Brian Azzarello will reteam with artist Eduardo Risso, colorist Trish Mulvihill, letterer Clem Robbins and cover artist Dave Johnson for Brother Lono, an upcoming miniseries set in the world of their beloved Vertigo series 100 Bullets. Interestingly, the promo art provided at right doesn't appear to use either "100 Bullets" in the series title or a Vertigo logo, suggesting that the series may be published directly through DC proper. "Following the events of 100 BULLETS, the highly acclaimed and Eisner award-winning crime series, BROTHER LONO focuses on one the baddest Minutemen in the bunch," says the official boilerplate from DC, according to MTV Geek. The Eisner and Harvey Award-winning 100 Bullets ran for 100 issues under DC's Vertigo imprint and ended in 2009. There have been a number of aborted attempts to adapt the property to television and video games.
