For fans of Russian Roulette, exploding cats, and the Oatmeal cartoon, there's a card game for you.

Exploding Kittens, an all-new card game co-created by The Oatmeal's Matthew Inman, has exploded past its KickStarter goal to earn a whopping $8,782,571 in funding. The game, which was also created by Elan Lee and Shane Small, had an initial Kickstarter goal of $10,000 in 30 days. But the game attracted more than 219,382 backers on the crowdfunding website, making Exploding Kittens the most-backed campaign ever, Mashable reported.

When exploding felines, Russian Roulette, and The Oatmeal are involved, it's easy to imagine why. Exploding Kittens is a card deck game mirroring Russian Roulette. Players take turns drawing from the deck, which features cartoons by Inman, until they draw a card with an Exploding Kitten on it. Once a player draw an Exploding Kitten card, they're out of the game. The game continues in this manner, albeit with a few twists, until their is only one player standing.

Despite the massive success of the campaign, the creators are still unsure of how they'll roll out their game out to the masses. "We don't have a retail plan yet. We made a promise to more than 200,000 people to ship them this game. That's our highest priority right now," Lee wrote to the game's followers on Reddit.
