Final Young Han Solo Shortlist Revealed

The search continues for who will play the young version of Han Solo in the Star Wars spinoff film but in an enormous galaxy of actors, the list of potential candidates has been narrowed down to three.

The search has been narrowed down to a trio of young actors for the Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directed film and they are all actors you'll know of.

Taron Egerton of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Eddie the Eagle, Alden Ehrenreich of Hail, Caesar!, and Jack Reynor, best known for his roles in Transformers: Age of Extinction and What Richard Did are our three finalists.

The field was recently narrowed from ten through either a screen or costume test, which eliminated Fantastic Four and Whiplash star Miles Teller and Divergent franchise star Ansel Elgort. Sources tell THR that Disney met with over 2,500 actors for the part.

The Han Solo spinoff film is for release in May of 2018.
