Game of Thrones - The Lion and the Flower

Last night's episode of Game of Thrones, "The Lion and the Rose," was watched by 6.3 million people, making it the second most watched episode of Game of Thrones so far. That's a very small ratings drop from last week's season 4 premiere, which was seen by 6.6 million people and was the most watched episode of an HBO series since the series finale of The Sopranos. "The Lion and the Rose," the second episode in season 4 of Game of Thrones, had a 48% ratings increase over the second episode of season 3 and thoroughly defeated it's Sunday night competition for ratings dominance. The episode featured the "Purple Wedding," a major event which shuffled off one of the key players in Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones airs Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
