Honest Trailers is at it again, this time picking apart everything that was wrong with this year's Transformers: Age of Extinction.
They had a lot to work with. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 18%, the Michael Bay film was low-hanging fruit for the YouTube parody series.
Almost no part of the film was spared in the brutal dissection. Among the video's highlights (and film's lowpoints) are a complete trashing of Mark Whalberg's "inventor" character, the sexploitation of an underage female, lazy green screen editing, and a tally of the 27 different product placements. Hey, someone has to pay for all that CGI.
The video's true stroke of sadistic brilliance, however, came when the original narrator was pushed aside by a Chinese-speaking narrator--a comment on how the film blatantly pandered to a Chinese audience in pursuit of global box office revenue. It's no passing gag, either. The video's final two minutes are all in Chinese, with English subtitles beneath.
Check out the video below for a full five minutes of unadulterated Bay bashing. It's almost enough to get the film's horrid taste out of your mouth. Almost.
