Iron Man 3 is a movie that is shrouded in secrecy, but plenty of spoilers and rumors have been leaking online. So what secrets were revealed with the extended Iron Man 3 Super Bowl movie trailer? Will there be any surprise cameos? Were there any hints to the after the credits scenes that everyone now knows to expect from Marvel Studios? Comicbook.com has a rundown of the top five Iron Man 3 secrets revealed by the newest footage. 5. James Rhodes Is Definitely Iron Patriot – While online rumors had already pegged James Rhodes as Iron Man and an Iron Patriot photo showed his name on the suit, Marvel Studios can sometimes be kind of tricky with what they do. However, part of the new footage showed Iron Patriot with his mask open, so now there's no doubt at all that James Rhodes (as played by Don Cheadle) is the Iron Patriot.
4. Maya Hansen Is In The Mansion– In previous Iron Man 3 trailers, we had only seen one shot of Rebecca Hall's character Maya Hansen. In the comics, Maya Hansen is the scientist who developed Extremis. It's been unclear as to how large a role she will play in the movie and what her relationship is with Tony Stark. However, in the new footage, we see that Maya Hansen is evidently chummy enough with Tony Stark that she's in the mansion with him and Pepper Potts when the mansion gets blown away.
3. The Mandarin Likes His Juice Freshly Squeezed- In one scene, The Mandarin lays the smack down on what appears to be a bunch of mandarins. Evidently, The Mandarin likes his juice freshly squeezed. It could also be that someone sent The Mandarin a bunch of mandarins as a joke, and he didn't appreciate the humor.
2. Air Force One Explodes- In previous trailers, we saw Air Force One get a whole punched in the side and people falling out. However, the new Super Bowl trailer gives a much expanded look of the scene. In earlier trailers, it almost looked like Iron Man caused the damage, but now it appears like Iron Man is inside the plane and rushes to help those that have fallen out. Most surprising is that we see all of Air Force One erupt into flames.
1. TCL Chinese Theatre Is Attacked- While this one doesn't come as a total surprise since Iron Man 3 filming at the TCL Chinese Theater showed up on YouTube, but the trailer did provide confirmation there will be an explosion at the TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman's Chinese Theater). Iron Man 3 is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 3, 2013.
