Last month, ComicBook.com talked about Aquaman & The Others #1 with series writer Dan Jurgens and the conversation drifted briefly toward Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. -- so what other comics might come up if people were discussing this month's issue? Quantum & Woody, of course! ...Wait, what?

The image above, taken from last week's Aquaman & the Others #2, features Prisoner-of-War creating a massive force blast and taking out a number of rock creatures by slamming together the manacles that grant him power. And that sound efffect? "KLANG" Y'know -- like when Quantum and Woody activate their powers by slamming their wrist-mounted control bands together! Of course, that's a sound effect that's been used plenty of times in comics before, but given the fact that it's wrist bands, it's hard not to see it as a wink-and-a-nod to the famed series by Priest and M.D. Bright, currently carried on by James Asmus and a number of artists. Only letterer Bob Leigh knows for sure...
