The character, who looks like a disembodied brain with tentacles and who usually lives inside of a robot body, is one of the most notorious villains from the animated series, but one who hasn’t appeared in a theatrical feature film yet.
Here’s the pertinent bit of the article:
They start with Ninja Turtles animation. Pablo Helman, a visual-effects supervisor who worked on the Star Wars prequels, appears onscreen and shows Bay the latest version of Krang, a new-to-the-movies villain who is, essentially, a disembodied brain inside a giant robot. “So we’ve eliminated the tentacles,” Helman explains. “Is it too monster-ish?”
“He could have some tentacles,” says Bay. “I just don’t want them coming out of the side. He looks like a stupid octopus.”
Krang isn’t the only strange creature heading to the big screen for the TMNT sequel: Rocksteady and Bebop are also coming, as seen in the film’s first trailer.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows comes to theaters June 3, 2016.
