Marvel Miniatures Game Is Up For Preorder

For those who like hitting the tabletop with an army of miniatures at your disposal, Knight Models and Marvel have teamed up to give you just that. You can now pre-order any of the three starter sets as well as a few individual units to go along with them, and the starter sets each come with a rulebook out of the box.

First let’s touch on the characters you can choose from at the moment. The three starter sets are The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The X-Men. The Avengers set includes Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, and Iron Man. Guardians include Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, and Rocket, while the X-Men include Cyclops, Colossus, Rogue, and Wolverine. The units you can buy separately at the moment are Deadpool, Nova, and Black Panther, with of course more to come.

The game is played on a 36′ by 36′ board of any type, and you use two 8 sided dice to during gameplay. Everyone has their own stat card and abilities, and the game uses an attack and defense system that includes Physical, Mental, Energy, and Supernatural. In the meantime just a couple of things of note. One, each of these miniatures comes disassembled (yeah, I had to) and unpainted, so you will have to put them together and do the painting yourselves. If that isn’t a big deal to you, then you can pre-order them at Knight Model’s official site here.
