More WonderCon: First Look at the Film Looper

WonderCon's panel on "Looper," a sci-fi meets mobster film, showed some insights into a film that has some pretty solid potential.  Written and directed by Rian Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom), the film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises), Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt and Paul Dano.  It's the future, and time travel is available—but only in the underground market.  Mobsters in the future who want to eliminate someone send the person back in time, where the target is met by a 'looper' (hit man) who kills the target in the past and cleans everything up. Only a problem occurs for a looper (Gordon-Levitt) when the target sent back for him to kill is his older self (Willis).  It's an interesting dilemma, and it certainly makes for an interesting movie.  How interesting will depend on the script.  Since this is the first real marketing event for "Looper," that's about all we have for now.  But we'll keep you posted as we near the September 28 release date.  In the meantime, here are two pics of Gordon-Levitt.
