After three years, fans of the Lupin the Third franchise are getting another dose of the master thief with next year's release of Lupin The IIIrd: Chikemuri no Ishikawa Goemon. That translates into "Goemon Ishikawa's Spray of Blood" as the feature will be centered around Lupin's samurai ally, Goemon, who is the thirteenth generation of renegade samurai, beginning with the legendary figure Ishikawa Goemon. Check out the teaser trailer below.
Chikemuri no Ishikawa Goemon will follow Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone, which was released in 2014 and also features the same director, Takeshi Koike.
Lupin The IIIrd: Chikemuri no Ishikawa Goemon is scheduled to hit theaters in Japan on February 4, 2017.
