No More Digital Comic Books for PSP, Sony Announces

There will be one less way for comic book readers to get their four-color adventures digitally. Sony has announced today that they will be ending their digital comic book service with this week's updated content. According to Sony's digital comics website, "The Digital Comics Team will continue to work on bringing the comic service to other Sony devices. We'll make sure to keep you updated with any future developments right here on the PlayStation.Blog. In the meantime, you can continue to download any of the over 4,000 existing comics from the comic store as usual. Thanks for your support and we hope you continue to enjoy comics on PSP!" No reason has been given at this time for the abrupt announcement, which may come as an unwelcome surprise to those who used the PSP for their reading enjoyment. It is also unclear as to what other devices Sony will be using to deliver digital content to its consumers. Sony had comics from a wide variety of publishers and titles on its site.
