When it comes to developers, Playdead can apparently do no wrong. While the company has only pushed out a couple of games, its two releases have gone on to garner critical acclaim from players everywhere. Their 2010 release of Limbo jumpstarted their burgeoning platform, and their most recent debut of Inside has racked up a score of 93 on Metacritic. Everything about Inside sounds great, doesn't it? Well, it really should unless you're a Playstation fan since the title is currently an Xbox exclusive. But is it going to stay that way?

Well, the short answer is no. Fans believe Inside will be crossing over to the PS4 faster than its Limbo counterpart did. The website Exophase has just updated their site to list all of the PS4 trophies that'll be available for Inside, giving gamers a solid indicator that its Xbox exclusivity will run short.

Playdead is by no means averse to bringing their game to multiple platforms. Currently, Limbo is available for Xbox, Playstation, Wii U, and PC. The site also told Push Square earlier in the year, "Our goal is of course to get Inside into the hands of as many gamers as possible, but we can't say anything about other potential platforms at this point."

The site VG24/7 is also corroborating claims about Inside cross-platform future as they've now said a trusted source has confirmed the game is heading to the PS4, "at the end of August."

Like its predecessor, Inside stands as a puzzle-platformer which asks gamers to solve various, intricate problems. The game's minimal, monochromatic landscape aesthetically mirrors that of Limbo, which has definitely pleased the developer's fans. So, hopefully, PS4 gamers will be able to test the game out on their own consoles before Winter rolls in.
