Way back in February, Pokemon started its 20th anniversary celebration with a worldwide giveaway of Mew, the first Mythical Pokemon seen way back in Pokemon Red and Blue. Now, the Pokemon Company is giving fans a second chance to get Mew, provided they are signed up for the monthly Pokemon Club newsletter by June 1st. As this Mew is identical to the one given out in February, this code won't work if you already received a Mew with the first giveaway.
This marks the second time in the last two months that the Pokemon Company has used the Trainers Club newsletter to give out Pokemon. Last month, the company distributed the Legendary Birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres to anyone who successfully signed up for the newsletter. As the Trainer Club newsletter has a multi-part verification system (you need to sign up on the Pokemon website, opt in for the newsletters and then confirm you want the Trainer Club newsletters in a subsequent email), some fans unfortunately didn't receive the Legendary birds earlier this month.
