The Resident Evil movie franchise has lasted longer than pretty much anyone expected, but it’s finally (finally!) coming to an end. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is about to hit theaters in early 2017, and it looks like franchise director Paul W.S. Anderson and his wife/star Milla Jovovich are pulling out all the stops to make this last film the most explosive, hard-hitting, monster-filled action romp that fans have ever seen!

Check out the lastestinternational trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter – or as the RE franchise is known in Japan (where this trailer hails from), “Biohazard.”
This final chapter has quite a few callbacks to the other chapters of the franchise, taking us back to Raccoon City, where we see familiar faces like the Red Queen and that insidious laser trap from the first film. Of course, there are also nods to later films in the series, like the apocalyptic versions of familiar landscapes, motorcycle action, Ali Larter’s Claire Redfield, Iain Glen’s Doctor Isaacs and the fan-favorite of Shawn Roberts’ Albert Wesker.
New faces include Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black), William Levy (The Tempest), and Fraser James (Law & Order: UK).
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be in theaters on January 27, 2017.
