On Saturday, ComicBook.com was able to grab Flanery between fans for an exclusive interview.
How are you? How’s Wizard World Las Vegas treating you?
I dig Vegas. Wizard World is always a killer event. But Vegas, it’s a fun city. Pleasure, excitement, entertainment… They have the best shows, the best restaurants, the best nightlife, it’s a crazy town.
I did see that you have four projects coming up. Are you particularly excited about any one of those?
I had Broken Horses open in theaters a week ago Friday. I finished Kepler’s Dream off the best selling novel, Kepler’s Dream. When The Starlight Ends, tiny little film I did with Sam Hueghan. It’s a very bizarre little art house piece. You know, so I’ve had a good time. In the next year, we’re in post-production to get everything out.
Fantastic. So, I have to ask you, what’s the status on Boondock Saints 3?
To be announced.
To be announed… Do you have any idea where we’ll find Connor MacManus and everybody?
I can’t really disclose anything.
Do you think that you being involved with all these projects and Norman Reedus being on The Walking Dead will help the movie get into production?
There’s going to be an announcement regardless. We just have to wait for some things to unfold before we disclose the essential elements.
