Stephen Amell Cancels Wizard World New Orleans Appearance

Arrow star Stephen Amell has cancelled an upcoming appearance at Wizard World New Orleans, citing publicity commitments out of town.

He posted the news to his Facebook page, offering apologies to anyone who bought tickets to the event planning to see him and vowing to head back to New Orleans in the near future:

Hi Everybody. I'm incredibly sorry, but I'm not going to be able to attend Wizard World New Orleans this January.

I have a press obligation in Los Angeles that weekend on both Saturday and Sunday.

For anyone who purchased tickets to the event, I feel awful. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities and I was really looking forward to bringing my whole family down for a fun time.

Recurring Arrow guest star Caity Lotz remains among those planning to attend.

Amell often offers VIP access packages to Wizard World conventions, and will do so at their Portland convention three weeks later, but either never did offer one for New Orleans, or it has already been removed from the Wizard World site.
