The Dark Knight Legacy: John Blake and Stephanie Brown Take Gotham

, a new, fan-produced short film available via Machinima, debuted today on YouTube with an eye toward crowdfunding a $30,000 webseries that will tell the complete story. Among the rewards? A theatrical-quality replica of Red Hood's mask from the series, designed by Dan Crawley, the person who made Bane's mask in The Dark Knight Rises. The campaign has already generated more than $8,000 today. Clocking in at around seven minutes long, The Dark Knight Legacy is set one year after The Dark Knight Rises, following "Robin" John Blake's heroic journey to protect the symbol of Batman from the lethal, relentless attacks of a masked vigilante known only as the Red Hood. Here, he faces off against a number of notable Gotham villains, including The Penguin and The Ventriloquist, before creating the Black Mask.
