Marvel Comics may have been instrumental to promoting the new BrooklynKnight superhero mascot, but that doesn't mean the House of Ideas have exclusive rights to the NBA. For instance, Entertainment Weekly just revealed that the DC Comics-owned Justice League--resplendent in their New 52 costumes--will be hanging out with the cast of TNT's Inside the NBA. Well, at least four of them, anyway. Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Steel appear on the page below alongside Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny "The Jet" Smith and Charles Barkley. Apparently the two groups will be playing a pickup game, presumably with powers muted. Yeah, that means Shaq and Steel--a character he played in a 1997 movie that everyone would rather forget--will be hanging out together. That's a little odd. But no odder, we guess, than the fact that nobody remembers they're playing pickup basketball against a dude who once boxed with Muhammad Ali. The crossover occurs in The Justice League Goes Inside the NBA: All Star Edition, a new limited edition comic book that will be distributed for free at the NBA All-Star Jam Session in New Orleans from February 13-16. No word on why they picked this particular lineup of the Justice League, but our insiders tell us they didn't want Wonder Woman because last time she played Barkley in 1-on-1, she beat him while wearing heels and he still hasn't got over it.
