The Spectacular Spider-Man: The Complete Series Coming To Blu-ray In April

The complete animated series of The Spectacular Spider-Man will be coming to Blu-ray in April. While we're still awaiting a formal announcement, the Blu-ray collection is already listed on Amazon.com. The Spectacular Spider-Man was a short-lived series, lasting only 26 episodes before being cancelled so that Disney could launch Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney XD, but was generally held in high regard by fans. This will mark the first time that The Spectacular Spider-Man has been collected into a single volume. According to the  DVD News Flash Facebook page, the blu-ray will include several special featurettes, including:

• Stylizing Spidey
• Spider-Man: Re-Animated
• The Spectacular Spider-Man Music Video

was adapted for television by Greg Weismann and Victor Cook and drew heavily on the Stan Lee and Steve Ditko Spider-Man stories for inspiration. Josh Keaton voiced Peter Parker in the series. The Spectacular Spider-Man: The Complete Series will be released on April 22.
