For a moment, it felt like the whole world mourned when news broke that Niantic had likely shut down multiple tracking sites for its Pokemon GO app. The ever-popular game has attracted millions of players who're trying to catch 'em all, and sites such as PokeVision and others helped trainers locate whichever pocket monster they needed. However, those days are now gone - or are they?

Didn't you know there's still a Pokemon GO tracking app that still works? You can call it Poke Radar.

The reason this app survived the cyber slaughter all comes down to how the site functions. Rather than tapping into Pokemon GO's API, which violates its terms of service, Poke Radar is entirely tip-based. So, yes, that means all of its information is sourced from players who submit tips as to which pokemon can be found where.

Currently, Poke Radar allows trainers to find the location of user-sourced pokemon, and it even lets them filter search results to only display the pokemon you've been searching for. Trainers can download the app on Apple IOS, Android, and desktop should they wish - just don't try to get it on Google Play just yet.

Since Poke Radar doesn't void Pokemon GO's terms agreement, it's unclear as to whether Niantic may ask the site to shut down. Niantic's CEO John Hanke did tell Forbes in a previous interview that he wasn't a fan of tracking apps.

"We have priorities right now but they might find in the future that those things may not work. People are only hurting themselves because it takes some fun out of the game," he said. "People are hacking around trying to take data out of our system and that's against our terms of service."

But, if you're absolutely desperate or don't have time to walk a hundred miles to find that Charizard you've been longing for, Poke Radar might be able to help you.

So, go out and search hard, my fellow trainers! Train responsibly!
