In accepting an award for best action/adventure movie at this year's Teen Choice Awards over the weekend, man of many hats Hugh Jackman, picking up the coveted surfboard for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, dropped big hints about the future of a sequel to the critically ravaged but financially successful summer film. "Who knows, maybe Wolverine will use one of these when he heads to Japan," said Jackman as he hoisted the surfboard up upon receiving the award. There were rumors swirling of a sequel even before the first Wolverine film hit theaters, but in speaking to MTV News after the acceptance speech, Jackman confirmed that the film, which would explore Wolverine's journey to Japan and the East, was a go. Jackman was highly enthusiastic about the possible exploration of the noted Claremont and Miller storyline, saying to MTV that, "I think the fans love that saga. It's my favorite saga of the Wolverine stories. That's a movie I've longed to make from the beginning, so that's where we're heading. Look for more development as to potential villains and love interests, but fans of the series will undoubtedly have an idea as to what and who they can expect to show up from this important chapter in Wolverine's life!
