WonderCon: Rocketeer/The Spirit: Pulp Friction Announced by IDW

Today during their WonderCon panel, IDW Publishing announced an upcoming Rocketeer/The Spirit crossover written by Mark Waid wirh art by Paul Smith. The four-issue miniseries, titled "Pulp Friction," will publish beginning in July, 2013. IDW has been publishing Rocketeer comics pretty regularly, including the Waid-written Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom with his artist Chris Samnee. This series is the first time we've seen new material featuring The Spirit since DC Comics's series ended a few years ago. A Will Eisner's The Spirit Artist's Edition was recently announced from IDW, letting the market know that they had been working with the Eisner Estate to bring the character back into publication.
