Shadowhunters actor Isaiah Mustafa, best known to a generation of TV viewers as the sex symbol known as the “Old Spice Guy,” got engaged this past week in New Zealand.

Mustafa recorded the proposal via overhead drone, and posted the video to social media on Sunday. “When she thinks you’re taking drone shots for your ‘travel blog’ but you propose,” says the video. All the tweet said was “drone-posal.”

In the time since he got his start as the pitchman for Old Spice, Mustafa has gone on to do dozens of movies and TV shows (including Marvel’s What The–?!, in which he voiced Luke Cage), but even he couldn’t resist narrating the proposal video in an over-the-top voice that sounded like his famed Old Spice persona.
He also appeared in Chuck, The Three Stooges, Horrible Bosses, and more before finding a role as a series regular on Shadowhunters.
Mustafa narrates the clip, “When she thinks you’re taking drone shots for your ‘travel blog’ but you propose.” As he gets down on one knee, Mustafa’s girlfriend Lisa Mitchell seems shocked, puts her head down, and then the two embrace.
The official Shadowhunters account tweeted out, “We’d say this is the best Christmas gift EVER. Congratulations, @isaiahmustafa! All of the Shadow Love to you & your beautiful fiancée.” Mustafa later effusively thanked his Shadowhunters supporters, both at work and in the fandom.
“Shadowhunters” is produced by Constantin Film and executive produced by Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, McG, Michael Reisz, Matt Hastings, Mary Viola, Martin Moszkowicz and Robert Kulzer. The series stars Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway, and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane.
The second season of Shadowhunters premieres on January 2, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Freeform.
