Ready to boldly go where no one has gone before this summer? Or, you know, maybe just to the beach? Now you can split the difference with ThinkGeek’s new Trekini line of swimwear inspired by Star Trek: The Next Generation. The swimwear line features three items: a one-piece swimsuit, a swim shirt inspired by Enterprise counselor Deanna Troi, and a cover-up romper.

The one-piece swimsuit is modelled after the Starfleet uniforms from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Like those uniforms, the swimsuit is available in three colors: blue (sciences), gold (operations), and red (command).
The swim shirt is inspired by Deanna Troi’s lavender jumpsuit from Star Trek: The Next Generation Seasons 2 and 3. The long-sleeved shirt is designed to be worn during long days in the sun, so that the wearer doesn’t need to constantly reapply sunscreen. The shirt features an embroidered combadge stitched onto the front.
The cover-up romper is designed to help avoid awkward situations by allowing the wearer to cover up while transitioning from poolside to a less wet environment. The romper is meant to easily slip on over a swimsuit, with an easy-fit drawstring waist and an embroidered combadge.

Star Trek: The Next Generation debuted in 1987 and ran for seven season on CBS. The show took place 100 years after the events of Gene Roddenberry’s original Star Trek series, featuring a new crew and a new Enterprise with a familiar mission “to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilization, to boldly go where no one has gone before.”
