Jon Bernthal, who played Shane on AMC’s The Walking Dead, has been cast in the upcoming film Sicario, according to the Hollywood Reporter.Sicario is a thriller from Dennis Villeneuve. The story follows a law enforcement agent, played by Emily Blunt, who is partnered with a government agent, played by Benicio Del Toro, to lead a team of agents trying to hunt down a high-raking drug lord.Bernthal has been cast as a character named Ted in the film. It is the latest of several film roles Bernthal has signed on for, including roles in Me & Earl & the Dying Girl and a still unnamed project with Gerardo Naranjo. He most recently appeared in The Wolf of Wall Street and Grudge Match.Sicario is expected to release sometime in 2015.
