It's time to play America's favorite guessing game, "Who's going to die on this episode of Game of Thrones?" There have plenty of deaths in just the first two episodes of this season and, if those episodes are any indication of things to come, then most of the casualties will be characters I didn't even expect to be in "Oathbreaker." I'll go ahead and make some predictions anyway.
POTENTIAL GAME OF THRONES SPOILERS FOLLOW
Let's start at the Wall. After his resurrection in "Home," Jon Snow will likely have to do some housekeeping. Is he still Lord Commander of the Night's Watch? If so, will he execute Alliser Thorne and the other mutineers? Anyone who stood with Thorne could end up losing their head in this episode.
If it is true the Smalljon Umber is bringing Ramsay Bolton the gift of Rickon Stark, then Rickon's life is immediately placed in danger. A shrewd lord like Roose Bolton would know that Rickon is worth much more alive than dead, but Ramsay is much more impulsive than his father was.
We see a shot of Ser Robert Strong in the preview video for the episode. Anywhere the undead being formerly known as The Mountain goes, death follows, so look for him to maybe kill a few Sparrows in the episode.
The last prediction is a bit of a cheat. We know from the preview that Bran Stark and the Three-eyed Raven will look back into the past of Westeros and witness the Raid on the Tower of Joy. We know from the books that only two combatants survive this fight, Eddard Stark and Howland Reed. Everyone else involved will die, so long as the show sticks to the books on this matter.
Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
