Does This LEGO Minifig Reveal Clues About Snoke’s Identity?

Of all the mysteries Star Wars: The Force Awakens gave audiences was the identity of the Supreme Leader Snoke has been the most perplexing, as he was so villainous that he could command both Sith and the First Order alike, commanding Kylo Ren and General Hux follow whatever orders he uttered. Fans have been seeking high and low for any hints about the character’s origins, and although The Last Jedi doesn’t come out for another six months, new images of upcoming LEGO sets might have given us a few hints at who Snoke is and how much we’ll see of him in the new film.

As you can see, the minifig shows Snoke’s beige complexion, which rules out many species of alien as well as ruling out the theory that Snoke could be Mace Windu. The minifig’s complexion is also different from the white/blue color previously seen in the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game, as seen below.

In the video game, Snoke is represented in hologram form, as we saw in the film, which explains his white/blue color. This new minifig suggests not only Snoke’s origins, but also alludes to audiences seeing Snoke in the flesh, either in the present or potentially in a flashback sequence. Either way, we should expect to see Snoke as more than just a hologram in The Last Jedi.

Another important discovery with the leaked minifig is that his eyes are glazed over as a solid color, as opposed to having pupils, which could mean that character either is blind or will be blinded.

If Snoke is blind, that could further the theory that Snoke is the Jedi Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels, who was blinded at the end of Season 2 but learned from Bendu in Season 3 that he didn’t need his eyes to be an effective Jedi.

The official answer to Snoke’s origins might not be answered until December 15, but we learn more and more about Snoke as each day goes by.
