In just a few short weeks, Star Wars Celebration will be kicking off, the biggest gathering of Star Wars fans in the world. As if panels, screenings, and meet-ups aren’t enough reasons to be excited, the convention also showcases lots of exclusive merchandise that you can’t find anywhere else. One of the bigger trends in Star Wars collectibles lately have been enamel pins of your favorite characters, with this year seeing the release of 40 different pins to collect! You can see the full list of pins available over at IGN.

In preparation for Celebration, three sets of pins have already been released and, due to their incredible popularity, have already sold out. All of the pins were designed by Derek Laufman, with the reason 40 pins being designed based on 2017 being the original film’s 40th anniversary.
In addition to being able to buy many of the pins available, there are select pins that you can only obtain through trading. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, it has its roots in the practice of pin trading at Disney theme parks. Once you buy a pin, there are designated areas throughout the park in which you can check out other fans’ pins to trade with. Also, many employees throughout the park adorn their outfits with pins, making another trading opportunity.
There are many exclusive pins that will only be available if you trade with staff members, but much like the theme parks, there will be designated areas for you to trade with other fans.
You can head over to the Star Wars Celebration website to get all the details on the pin trading program.
