The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story blowout issue of Empire Magazine is the gift that keeps on giving. With all the quotes and stories already pulled from it, it’s hard to believe there’s more, but these five stills from the issue are brand-new. They show a variety of locations and characters, including a brand-new droid.

The droid in question is working, it appears, on the planet Lah’mu at the home of the Erso family. Unless there’s a flashback, it appears the film may start there, with a young Jyn Erso living with her parents Galen (Mads Mikkelsen) and Lyra on the planet peacefully until Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) comes to take Galen away. Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle can be seen in the distance, so it’s not going to be a great day.

Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera gets the next spotlight. The character is once again described as an extremist, something that was touched upon in his first apperance on the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Another droid, K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) gets his own spotlight image, with fire emanating behind him. This may be from the recent minute-long extended TV spot, when Kaytoo casually tosses a thermal detonator over his shoulder, taking out a squad of stormtroopers with ease.

The final two images feature Diego Luna’s Captain Cassian Andor and star Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso. Andor is in a cold weather jacket and carrying a blaster rifle while looking awfully harried. Erso, meanwhile, stands in front of an X-wing and a couple of Rebel pilots at the base of the Rebel Alliance. She has an ever-so-slight grin, portraying the message of hope that the recent TV spots and trailers have been so focused on.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits US theaters December 16, 2016. Directed by Gareth Edwards, it’s the first of the new standalone features from Lucasfilm and Disney, which take place outside the core “Skywalker Saga” of films noted by an Episode number. Rogue Onetells the story of the small band of rebels that were tasked with stealing the plans to the first Death Star. The story spins directly off the opening crawl from the original Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. In that crawl, it read: “Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet.” Tickets are on sale now.
