Rogue One: A Star Wars Story did more than earn bank at the box office last year. The successful standalone gave Lucasfilm the confidence to pursue addition spin-off tales, and Han Solo is the first big name character to benefit from the decision. Next year, fans will get to see the space scoundrel star in his own feature film, and netizens have kept a close eye on the project’s status. The film is already in production with stars like Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover tapped for leading roles. And, thanks to the CEO of Disney, fans know a bit more about the untitled feature’s content.

In a recent talk with press over in Santa Monica, Bob Iger gave the world a much-wanted update about the Han Solo standalone. It was there that he dropped information about the film’s timeline which Ben Fritz shared with Twitter. The reporter told fans that Iger said the “Han Solo movie will follow him from age 18 through 24 and show him finding the Falcon, meeting Chewbacca, and getting his name.”

For fans, the tidbit about the Millennium Falcon was one they’ve known for awhile. Han Solo wins the iconic spacecraft when he wins a card game against Lando Calrissian, so fans will get to see Glover part ways with the so-called ‘hunk of junk’ very soon.

However, it is the note about the film’s span that has fans interested. The solo feature will follow Han Solo over the course of six years, a feat which no other Star Wars film has done. The franchise itself has strung out over decades, but each enclosed film has also told a contained story which spans no longer than a year or so. The Han Solo standalone will buck that trend moving forward, so fans are looking forward to see the rogue’s personality shift over the course of the film.
