The Walking Dead‘s Season 7B synopsis teased a very different show by comparison to its preceding eight episodes.

Rather than dealing with Rick Grimes being bullied and oppressed by Negan with Alexandria’s survivors scattered across various episodes, the back half of Season 7 has seen Rick, Michonne, Daryl, and others interacting on a regular basis as their efforts to overthrow Negan and the rule of his Saviors has finally surfaced.
However, in the synopsis was one intriguing bit.
“We’ll see treachery from people we trust,” the synopsis said.
Four episodes into the back half of Season 7, some of the treacherous actions may have been revealed or, at least, put in place.
On the following slides, we look at who the potential traitors to our survivors are…
Eugene
Eugene appears to be fitting into the Sanctuary quite comfortably. He is doing everything Daryl Dixon didn’t do during his time as Negan’sย prisoner and being rewarded handsomely.
By the end of the Hostiles and Calamities episode, it appeared Eugene has completely forgotten where his allegiance lay and he was fully, completely, and stone cold Negan. His actions of helping fortify the Sanctuary with steel covered zombies are most certainly treacherous. Furthermore, he had the opportunity to kill Neganย with the help of the wives and elected not to carry out their plan.
Eugene may very well have flipped on Rick.

Rosita
Rosita has betrayed Rick as of Sunday’s Say Yes episode.
While Rick has a plan in place, rallying the junkyard gang, Hilltop, and Kingdom to help fight Negan and the Saviors to offer his side of the war an advantage over the heavily armed, massive group, Rosita has taken it upon herself to enlist Sashaย in a suicide assassination mission.
Such actions are certainly going to cost Alexandria in the long run if Rosita and Sashaย are unsuccessful in their efforts of killing the Saviors and can most certainly be considered treacherous.

Richard
Richard has remained loyal to the Kingdom, so far.
He did, however, attempt to betray his King to extent when he wanted to lead Saviors to an attack on Carol. This plan was only thwarted by Daryl Dixon’s discovery of Carol being bait for the Saviors. Still, Richard is on a mission to prove to King Ezekiel and the Kingdom that the Saviors must be stopped and they have to attack them.
If Richard reaches a breaking point, he could betray his own people in an effort to show just how dangerous the Saviors are, making him very dangerous, as well.
ย
Morgan
Morgan hates killing. War will require just that.
In Season 6, Morgan betrayed Rick when he elected to house one of the Wolves in Alexandria, endangering the lives of the community’s residents. Ultimately, the Wolf escaped and nearly killed Carol, Denise, and others. Somehow, Morgan found an optimistic way to look at this despite the Wolf and Denise both ultimately being dead today.
When Rick and the gang decide it is time for war, Morgan might turn on him in an effort to prevent deaths on both sides of the war. After all, all life is precious, right?
