Who’s Who: Every Community Currently On The Walking Dead

Can you feel it? There’s a war coming on The Walking Dead. It may not happen this week, it may not happen next week, but there’s definitely an enormous battle on the horizon.

Negan has hurt the communities surrounding his, and they all want nothing more than to see him fall. However, the score can get confusing when you factor in each and every moving part to this whole scenario. There are some places content with staying put, and some that are ready for war.

Yet, there are still some who’s motives are completely unknown.

In order to get a good feel for where everybody stands, we decided to break down each of the communities currently on The Walking Dead, and the special circumstances surrounding each of them.

Alexandria

Leader: Rick. Key Member: Michonne

Alexandria Safe Zone has been the focal point of the show for some time now, as this is where Rick and his people have chosen to call home. 

Alexandria is in a good place in terms of safety. They’ve got a strong wall, and almost every person in the community knows how to fight.

The only weakness here, is that ASZ is on Negan’s naughty list. Under Rick’s leadership though, they’ll figure out a way to bounce back.

 

Sanctuary

Leader: Negan. Key Member: Dwight.

Negan rules his Sanctuary with an iron fist. The Saviors are the most dangerous militia in the area, and everyone fears what they can do.

This is the group no one wants to mess with. However, if the other individual groups work together, they could find victory.

The biggest weakness here is, honestly, one of their own. It’s clear that Dwight is hurt, and wants nothing more to do with how Negan is running the show. He switched allegiances in the comics, he could do the same on the show.

 

The Hilltop

Leader: Gregory. Key Member: Maggie.

The Hilltop is an interesting place. As far as location, they easily have the biggest advantage. However, under the rule of Gregory, they have nothing to show for what they’ve built.

There is a new air in Hilltop as of late, as people are starting to see that real leaders, like Maggie, do actually exist. Under her leadership – which becomes the case in the comics – Hilltop can achieve true greatness.

 

The Kingdom

Leader: Ezekiel. Key Member: Carol.

The Kingdom has just taken a major blow. While they have one of the wisest leaders around, they’ve just lost two their most important soldiers.

However, with that loss, Ezekiel is ready to fight. He’s got a determined Carol by his side, and he’s fueled by the desire to protect his people.

Look out, because there’s not much that can stand in the way of this group.

 

Scavengers

Leader: Jadis. Key Member: Tamiel.

Unlike most of the groups in play here, the Scavengers have mystery on their side. No one knows where they came from, and no one knows their strengths and weaknesses. They are the epitome of a wild card.

Once Rick brings them guns, who knows what could go down. They could easily help Rick, or turn him over for a better deal. 

Keep a very watchful eye on these folks.

 

Oceanside

Leader: Natania. Key Member: Cyndie.

In their one episode, the women of Oceanside proved that they would become a major player in the game at some point.

These women have the element of surprise, they know how to fight, they’re loaded to the brim with weapons, and they have a deep score to settle with Negan.

If they ever decided to come out of hiding, that could be it for the villain.
