Just when we started calling Madison Clark “the Rick Grimes of Fear the Walking Dead,” she goes and gets trapped under some threatening prison jumpsuit zombies.
In a new clip from Sunday’s new Fear the Walking Dead episode, titled “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame,” the leader of the Clark family carries out some sort of mission with Troy Otto on the outskirts of Broke Jaw Ranch. However, in their travels, they have encountered a crashed bus which was once full of prisoners. While Troy makes dispatching these infected look like an art, Madison has a bit more trouble and finds herself pinned down by the undead after her weapon gets stuck in one walker’s neck.

Outside of Broke Jaw Ranch, in Episode 3×05, Victor Strand and Daniel Salazar will continue their journey to the hotel where Strand has lied about Ofelia’s waiting for Daniel. Upon arriving and realizing he has been lied to about his daughter’s fate, the head of the Salazar family will be none too pleased with con man Strand.
Still, the mystery of Ofelia’s true whereabouts remains unsolved and might be revealed in the new episode.
If you jumped off of the Fear the Walking Dead train in its sluggish early episodes, the time to hop back on is right now. To say, “Fear the Walking Dead is at its best right now” would not emphasize the message given the show’s lackluster start, but would be true. In fact, Fear the Walking Dead, right now, is the Walking Dead universe at its best.
